Sun Tech Day was organized as a result of the collaboration between the EUI and the AUJAC (Associació d'Usuaris Java de Catalunya).

Angela Caicedo, Technology Evangelist of Sun Microsystems, was the speaker at the presentation of Java2 Standard Edition 5.0 (Tiger) in which she explained the novelties and technical aspects of this latest version of the Java platform. He also gave demonstrations of how to develop applications helping us with the new possibilities.

The session took place on December 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Attendees received original Sun CDs and a t-shirt, and books and other prizes were raffled off. Almost 100 people attended the event.
During the event, the AUJAC presented a commemorative diploma of appreciation to Mr. Reginald Hutcherson (head of the Java Technology Evangelist).
